So we've been gone for about 4 weeks now and Spencer's rotation only lasts 2 more weeks! I'm excited to get back home but I'm sad too because there was so much I wanted to do around here that I just haven't had time to do! We've been so busy! I did get to have a Mary Kay party with my mom's friends which actually turned out to be very successful and I have been able to start on Baby Boy's crib bedding so that has been a great success. :)
Poor Ashley sometimes asks to "go home" and I have to tell her that this is home right now for a little while longer and she seems to be doing much better with the idea. However, it did break my heart in the beginning when I realized she is old enough to know that this is not home and that she's been gone from home a while and that normally we would have been back by now. She's adjusting though and I think the constant streem of visitors my parents have had is helping her to cope - there's always someone new to play with! We've been spending lots of time at the pool with the "fishy slide" which I can't seem to get Ashley away from, and she's been loving wandering around my parents' property with the dogs. She's grown a ton over the summer and I'm pretty sure she may even have grown a few inches in the last few weeks! She's seeming less and less like a baby and more and more like a toddler now which is fun, but kind of sad too. :) It goes by so fast! Good thing there's another one on the way. ;)
Speaking of, Baby Boy is still nameless but we've thought of a few more names we like. I'm not going to give any of those names away just yet so you'll all have to wait and see! For now you can keep calling him by his nickname, Thor haha. And let me tell you, I think Thor really does have a hammer in there because some of those kicks really hurt! As of yesterday I am 30 weeks and I have yet to take a picture of that but here's a 29 week picture for you all to enjoy!
I hope you're all enjoying your summer and I promise to try to update better on what's been going on the last month (because really, SO much has been going on and I don't want you all to miss out! ;)) but that may have to wait until I get back home and settled. But for now, enjoy the tidbits. ;)
